Life... Abundantly

Life... We are called to live an abundant life... But what exactly does this mean? We all know the scripture Jeremiah 29:11. For I know the plans I have for you, says the LORD, plans to prosper not to harm you and plans to give you a hope and a future. But my question is... Do we REALLY believe it. Do we really believe that he wants us to live an abundant life? Well he does. The abundant life he wants us to live does not consist of walking around as a failure or looking down at the ground all day long, It doesn't consist of looking at someone for who they were rather than who they are and it also doesn't consist of looking back at your past, because everyone knows its hard to move forward when you are looking back... and if you do you are destined to crash. My Pastor has been talking about our lives and how so many times we go around with "what he/she" thinks we are or who we are tattooed to our person. Depression, Divorce, Fear, Finance, Sexual Immorality, Hurt and many more that so many "Christians" carry around like a suitcase. I found this to be something that NEEDS to be talked about now more than ever. Because as I look around me, so many of us are walking around with something that we have let keep ties with us. If we could all just realize that God has taken that away when we became his child we would all be better physically, emotionally, and spiritually. If we could get our focus off of ourselves, we would then see our purpose and vision as one of Gods children. Other people! We are called to help the hopeless, the hungry and the hurting. God has called us to live an abundant life consisting of love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self- control. He wants his Love to shine through us to reach others... what good does it do if it stays bottled up in us and never reaches something that is desperately in need or hurting beyond comprehension. We are made to love. Live in Love and Prosper, The World was never made to rule over us as it is many Christians today, but we were made to rule and have dominion over the world, being made in his image and likeness. We are co-heirs of Christ. He is for us not against us!!! We serve a loving God who continues to bless his children and give us all a hope and a future. His love will never fail.
